Condors Conquer Skyline in Home Debut
The Columbus Condors had a very successful debut beating the previously undefeated Dallas Skyline, in their inaugural home game, by a final score of 113-106. The Condors were led on offense by AJ Davis, who had 27 points. The Condors were far from one-dimensional though. Forward, Andy Bosely had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Condors defense was able to cause havoc with a whopping 9 steals. That made it extremely difficult for the Dallas Skyline’s offense to get in a rhythm. One player that did have his way with The Condors though and that was Dallas Skyline Forward Terry Maston, who had 35 points and 21 rebounds. To say he was a one-man wrecking crew would be an understatement. One major deciding factor in this one ending up being a lack of depth for the Skyline. They brought just nine players to Columbus and got in serious foul trouble in the second half. It became too much and The Condors were able to take advantage. You can’t ask for a better start at home for the Condors. They begin a trio of road games on February 15th when they travel to take on Albany. The next night they will be taking on the Tri-State. Then, on February 22nd they’ll be in The Sunshine State to take on Tamba Bay. Finally, The Condors will return home to take on Dayton on February 23rd at The Rike Center.
