Rehashing Sports Illustrated's Top 5 College Football unis for 2023

With College Football kicking off this weekend, one of the things to look forward to is the alternate uniforms that teams will trot out as the season progresses, no longer the exclusive domain of Oregon with its five hundred possible uniform combinations, EVERYONE has eye-catching duds these days which is good, because as a great man once said, "When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you play good."

#5 Maryland new helmet script "Terps"

TERPS ARE BACK! The concept of the helmet is sleek and sharp. However, adding a hint of Maryland's gold from the color scheme would have given the helmet an all-around complete Maryland look. Go Terps!

#4 Notre Dame's "New" Kelly green alternate uniform

There's not much to the uniform itself, this shade of Kelly Green is a bit lighter than expected. Notre Dame stepping away from its classic golden trousers puts a nice spin on things, perfect for new beginnings.

#3 Florida's "Saluting Those Who Serve" alternate uniform

The idea and concept of the uniform is commendable. This uniform will be worn around Veteran's Day with the uniforms being auctioned off and proceeds going to military families.

#2 Michigan State Sparta "Greek Style" uniform

First take on this uniform... Amazing, I absolutely love it. Incorporating the Greek pattern really adds meaning to the Spartan mascot. This uniform would make anyone proud to represent the Spartans.

#1 Florida International "Miami Vice" alternate uniform

I love the color scheme, the "Miami Vice"-theme was mastered. This addition brings excitement to the team. But, let's be honest, are the palm trees on the shoulders and pants a bit TOO much for a football uniform? Is it too distracting? After delivering a 4-8 record last season, in the words of Kanye West, "You're worried about the wrong things."Let's just get some wins guys.
